Southerly -  Southerly publishes a wide range of poetry and fiction, critical essays and commentaries from writers and scholars all over Australia and New Zealand.  Some hardcopies are available in Danebank Library or via Informit Literature & Culture Collection  - log in with your State Library of NSW card and search for Southerly.

Meanjin - Known primarily as a literary magazine, Meanjin reflects the breadth of contemporary thinking, be it on literature, other art forms, or the broader issues of the times. Published four times a year and online, Meanjin is one of Australia’s best, and oldest, journals of literature and ideas.  Available via  Informit Literature & Culture Collection  - log in with your State Library of NSW card and search for Meanjin.

Kill Your Darlings - (KYD) is an Australian literary magazine dedicated to arts and culture. Kill Your Darlings was established in March 2010 with a mission of "reinvigorating and re-energising this medium – to shake it up, if you like, and publish literature that bites back". It publishes new fiction and commentary, memoir, interviews and reviews. The magazine name comes from a quote regularly attributed to the American novelist William Faulkner: ‘In writing, you must kill all your darlings.’  Available via  Informit Literature & Culture Collection  - log in with your State Library of NSW card and search for Kill Your Darlings.

Young Writers' Showcase

The Young Writers anthology is an annual publication that celebrates the impressive talents of HSC English Extension 2 students from across the State. To date, the anthology has recognised over 340 young writers.

Showcases can include short fiction, creative non-fiction, critical responses, poetry, podcasts, and a script.

The works are profound, touching, humorous and poignant, and offer a fascinating insight into the minds of these brilliant young writers.
